Just as Brian Wilson began his Smile album with an acapella prayer by the Beach Boys, My Soul to Keep starts the listener’s journey to dreamland with a wordless angelic prayer. The title comes from the child’s bedtime prayer, “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.”
