She’s my biggest fan.
She’s always the first to hear a new song when I finish it. She listens with total focus, usually with eyes closed, and invariably tells me, “It’s beautiful.” Because she is honest, she sometimes follows her complement with a worthy suggestion that always makes the song better. I love her for that.
She cheerfully endures the many weeks I’m closeted away in my studio when I’m working on a new album. Hardly anyone else knows the amount of effort it takes to craft my music. But she knows and supports me through it all. I love her for that.
She helps me remember that looking for support from friends on social media usually leads to discouragement when it's not there. She helps me remember that my music is a calling and gift from God, and that His blessing on what I do is what really matters. And I love her for that.
She continually blesses me with her patience, her kindness, her encouragement and her love. She has always been my biggest fan and I will always love her.
